Haribo is a candy producer that originates from Bonn in Germany, founded in 1920 by Hans Riegel.
Haribo came to us with two desired outcomes: a below the line campaign that would increase sales volume and creating more rumours around the brand. As a repsonce to their requests Gotcha proposed a promotion that would combine the brands Circus Herman Renz and Haribo: ‘Renz meets Renz’. When consumers bought three haribo items they received a second ticket to Circus Herman Renx for free. It turned out to be a perfect match between brand identity and the proposition.
When the promotion was presented to all distributors, cilinders with juggling balls were distributed that also contained a clear explanation of the promotion. Gotcha! also developed promotional packaging of which around one million were produced. This nationwide promotion was supported by a radio commercial voiced by Peter Jan Rens himself.
